According to the city of Zurich, the listed buildings at Seefeldstrasse 201, 203 and 205 are undergoing extensive renovation. At the same time, the range of apartments is to be optimized. Above all, the load-bearing structure will be stabilized and the building services adapted to today's requirements in terms of fire protection, health protection and energy.

Apartments that are too large from today's point of view will be subdivided and small apartments and attic rooms will be combined. According to the city, the new offer will include seven apartments with 1.5 to 8.5 rooms. The units will be rented according to the cost rent, and the net rent for a 100-square-foot, 4.5-room apartment is expected to be CHF 1,420, according to the city.

The Hornegg neighborhood restaurant, which is part of the ensemble, will also be modernized and enlarged: the restaurant will have 62 seats instead of 50.

The city council has approved expenditures of CHF 8.72 million for the overall restoration of the building ensemble. (ah)
