Varia Swiss builds four-story logistics building in Meyrin
Varia Swiss Realtech Properties has received the legally binding building permit for its EK11 project.
The planned building is an industrial and logistics project with 17,800 sqm. The existing building on the site of 11,000 sqm will be demolished before the end of 2022. The new building is to include 3,500 sqm of office space on four floors, eleven loading docks and over 100 underground parking spaces. Construction is scheduled to start in December 2022 and the building is expected to be handed over in the fourth quarter of 2024.
EK11 is located in Geneva's main industrial area of Zimeysa, close to the airport and easily accessible from the center by highway and public transport. The comprehensive Zimeysaver area is to be the largest industrial site in the canton, providing at least 10,000 new jobs by 2030. (aw)
