UBS AST-IS: Portfolio grows in Winterthur and Basel

With the acquisition of three properties, the UBS AST Real Estate Switzerland investment group has expanded its real estate portfolio to 134 properties.

As of January 1, 2023, the investment group acquired the property Marktgasse 70 in Winterthur with an investment volume of approximately CHF 53 million. The rental space of the residential and commercial building comprises 6,000 sqm, of which 87% is retail space, approximately 7% is residential space, approximately 4% is warehouse space and approximately 2% is office space. Extensively renovated in 2017/18 and connected to district heating, the property is fully leased.

With retroactive effect from October 1, 2022, the investment group has concluded a contribution-in-kind transaction in the amount of approximately CHF 19 million in Basel-Stadt. The two properties acquired are residential and commercial properties in a quiet residential neighborhood in the immediate vicinity of Basel's city center. (aw)
