According to Electra, the aim is to put the first stations into operation after the summer vacations and to open 100 locations in Switzerland and Austria by 2026. According to the French start-up, the potential for fast-charging infrastructure has not been exhausted in these two countries. It already operates 260 charging points and is currently installing several hundred in larger urban areas, freeways and airports.

In Belgium, the company equips the parking lots of large corporations such as the hotel giant Accor, Louvre Hotels and Primonial REIM France with charging stations. To finance the expansion, 175 million euros have been raised over the past two years and several hundred million euros have been secured. The aim is to offer a network of over 8,000 fast-charging points throughout Europe by 2030. (aw)
