The client is UBS Fund Management (Switzerland) AG, the project was developed by Nüesch Development. Halter was the total contractor, the land owner is the Christoph Merian Foundation.

According to UBS, virtually all of the 103 residential units, which are divided into lofts, duplexes and apartments, have been leased. Tenants have also been found for most of the commercial space.

"The transit warehouse has a pilot character in the neighborhood, but also sends a signal for change beyond its borders," said Danish Bjarke Ingels, whose firm BIG was responsible for the plans. "The identity of the building is given by its ship shape. The transit camp is authentic; there was no need to wait for a development." (ah)
