Avobis is launching a Swiss residential real estate fund with a focus on existing properties in mint condition. The sounding phase for the Avobis Swiss Residential Fund, which is designed for qualified investors, is currently underway on the market, the company announced. The subscription period is scheduled to begin on October 30. Avobis Invest AG is the FINMA-regulated part of Avobis Group AG.

The portfolio will be built up taking into account the forthcoming building and environmental protection laws, according to Avobis. "This guarantees that the properties already meet the most important sustainability criteria today and that no major investments will be required in the next five to ten years," writes Avobis. The aim of the investment strategy is to achieve a stable and sustainable distribution with maximum value stability. "Particular emphasis is placed on the current and expected regulations regarding building efficiency and CO2 emissions," says Ramon Scussel, Head of Investment Products at Avobis. "We are convinced that our fund is an ideal addition to the existing products on the market and thus takes account of the current market environment."

The issue volume is expected to be around CHF 50 million. The subscription period runs until November 24 with the option of an extension and a planned payment date of December 1. PvB Pernet von Ballmoos AG is acting as fund management company for the externally managed SICAV, while Avobis Invest AG is responsible for asset management and the issue as manager of collective assets. Banque Cantonale Vaudoise acts as custodian bank. There are no plans to list the investment vehicle on the stock exchange. (aw)
