Kloten buys land for residential construction
A building cooperative is to build retirement apartments and affordable housing on the site in Chasern.
The city of Kloten is acquiring an undeveloped plot of land in Chasern from the canton of Zurich. The plot has an area of 1,773 square meters and the purchase price is CHF 3.64 million, which corresponds to the market value determined by Zürcher Kantonalbank in March 2023, the city announced.
The property borders the city of Kloten's retirement home to the northwest and undeveloped land to the southwest of Trottackerweg.
In a participatory process with a building cooperative, the city wants to realize a development with affordable apartments and apartments for the elderly. The selection process for the external developer is currently underway. (ah)
