Center manager Wincasa has announced that the Neuhegi-Center in Winterthur (ZH) is to undergo its first comprehensive modernization following a "gentle refurbishment" in 2011. The work is scheduled to run from February 2024 to March 2025. The concept includes a new façade and brighter colors inside, new lighting, modernized wet rooms and common areas. There are also plans to increase energy efficiency with a heat pump and a photovoltaic system on the renovated flat roof.

From July 2024, a Denner, a post office and a "Prim Food" snack bar will open in new premises on the first floor. Migros will follow from November 2024, also on the first floor. According to the press release, new space will also be created on the second floor. Office space of up to 2,600 m² is currently being offered on a real estate platform. In principle, however, the space is also available for retail use, Wincasa said on request.

The Neuhegi-Center was opened in 2002 and comprises 5,400 m² with tenants Migros, Denner and Post as well as a dentist and physiotherapy practice. Mediamarkt had a branch in the center until 2017. (aw)
