Implenia acquires orders worth hundreds of millions

In Switzerland, the construction group is building two data centers and a residential complex. There are further projects in Germany and Sweden.

Implenia has won building construction and civil engineering contracts with a total volume of over CHF 240 million. The company has been commissioned by data center provider Green to act as general contractor for the construction of two high-performance data centers for the Green Metro Campus in Dielsdorf. Implenia reports that civil engineering work has already begun. The company has already built the first of three data centers for Green in Dielsdorf and is currently constructing an associated office building.

Implenia is building a residential complex in the canton of Zurich as total contractor. According to Implenia, the client is a pension fund and the contract is worth around CHF 100 million. The project will start in April and is expected to last until summer 2027.

Implenia is also reporting two successes abroad: in the city center of Karlsruhe, Implenia is building the "Midstad Karlsruhe" project with retail space, offices and co-working and restaurant space as general contractor on behalf of Naxos Grundbesitz KG. Implenia reports that the Specialist Civil Engineering division has already been awarded the contract for the demolition and construction of the excavation pit. This work is almost complete and the project is scheduled for completion in mid-2026.

Implenia is planning and building the Ersmark Tunnel in northern Sweden on behalf of the Swedish Transport Administration. The project comprises a 1.6 km long tunnel between Fäboberget and Ersmarksberget with a service tunnel, various concrete structures, water and wastewater systems and drainage mats, the company announced. Work will begin in May and is expected to take two years. (ah)
