For the third time, the real estate industry met at the Olma exhibition grounds for the "Immo Dialog Ost". Under the title "Innovation and Sustainability", leading representatives of the Swiss real estate industry discussed the future of building and living in Eastern Switzerland. Topics of supra-regional importance were also the focus of the event, which was sold out to the last seat with almost 250 participants.

Fredy Hasenmaile, one of Switzerland's most prominent real estate analysts and economists, gave the opening speech. The chief economist of Raiffeisen Switzerland gave an outlook on interest rate trends and economic growth and provided data on the development of the real estate market in Eastern Switzerland.

An architectural firm that has created an internationally acclaimed milestone in energy-efficient construction was the focus of the next presentation. Tanja Sprünken, Managing Director of Baumschlager Eberle St. Gallen AG, looked at the topic of sustainability from the different perspectives of planning, construction, operation and service life. She showed that sustainability also means timelessness. A panel of experts then examined how sustainability can go hand in hand with economic efficiency. In addition to Sprünken and Hasenmaile, Elvira Bieri (CEO SSREI), Peter Mettler (CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mettler Entwickler AG) and Giuseppe Cristofaro (Chief Commercial Officer ISS Schweiz AG) took part.

The presentation by Markus Mettler, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Halter AG, focused on a solution approach for two key challenges facing the real estate industry. He developed the thesis that affordable and climate-friendly real estate is possible - if companies are allowed to do it and politicians set clear and non-ideological goals. Christian Wick gave an impression of how diverse the interests are that need to be taken into account when developing sites and projects. The real estate developer from Mettler Entwickler AG shared insights into the planning processes, including the new industrial building of L. Kellenberger & Co. AG in Goldach and the conversion of its old building in St. Gallen as well as the "Sitter Valley" site development.

Last but not least, German energy expert Timo Leukefeld took to the stage and explored a big question in an inspiring talk: "How will we live in the future?" The entrepreneur and university lecturer, who is very present in the media, presented innovations that could soon radically change building and living. He also showed how a desolate existing building in eastern Germany was transformed into an energy-efficient and economical building using simple means.

The event was moderated by Roman Bolliger, CEO of Swiss Circle AG, which has been bringing together players in the real estate industry for many years. Once again, Immo Dialog Ost offered plenty of scope for networking, which is particularly important in the real estate industry, with a business lunch and drinks reception.

The organizer, Galledia Event AG, sees the strong response as a sign that the event has established a firm place in the event calendar of Eastern Switzerland.
