Mint Architecture: Katharina Mayr joins from SFP
At SFP, the architect was Project Manager Real Estate Development. Her new title is Head of Design & Consulting.

Katharina Mayr is the new Head of Design & Consulting at Mint Architecture and a member of the management team. According to a press release, the architect (Mag. arch., Dipl. Arch SIA) brings expertise in the management of large architectural projects as well as in the strategic development of real estate and sites to her new employer. The Zurich-based planning office describes the appointment as a "further important strategic step" for the company, which has expanded into the DACH region with its own offices over the last two and a half years.
Born in Austria, she studied architecture at the University of Innsbruck and at Studio Zaha Hadid at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. After graduating, she worked for Herzog & de Meuron in Basel and spent the next three years at KSA Kyncl Schaller Architekten. In 2013, she moved to Itten+Brechbühl in Basel. After further training at the Center for Urban & Real Estate Management (Curem), Mayr joined the Swiss Finance & Property Group in 2019, where she spent five years developing and acquiring real estate projects as Project Manager.
Following the merger with the pan-European planning group ATP Architekten Ingenieure (ATP) in 2019, Mint is also represented in Frankfurt, Hamburg, Innsbruck and Lausanne. The office focuses primarily on the conversion of existing buildings. Properties with vacancies are to be revitalized into mixed-use properties, taking into account sustainable use, and commercial and office buildings are to be renovated and converted according to the principles of circular construction.
