Köniz: Planning application for office project published
Together with HRS Investment AG, Alta Vista AG is realizing the "Q72" project in the west of Berne with 20,000 sqm of rental space.
With the "Q72", two modern buildings are being built in the Juch-Hallmatt area in Niederwangen, primarily for office use. They are part of the latest dynamic development of the Köniz district in the west of Bern. The municipality has created the planning conditions for a public transport interchange and a spacious station square in Niederwangen, while the canton is also in the process of building a new police center on the site of the Juch-Hallmatt cantonal development focus (ESP). The Q72 project on Hallmattstrasse, which comprises two modern buildings with predominantly office use, is also part of the development in the immediate vicinity of the city. The planning application for the larger building has now been published. The client and project developer is Alta Vista AG together with HRS Investment AG. The handover for the tenant fit-out and start of operations is scheduled for the 3rd quarter of 2027. Thomasgraf AG has been commissioned to let the building, which will mainly be used for offices.
The building will be connected to the district heating network and heated and cooled with 100 % renewable energy. Photovoltaic systems and system separation in the building as well as the use of ecological building materials are also part of the sustainability concept.
On the project website, the rental space of the Q72 is estimated at 19,000 square meters. (aw)
