How the Basellandschaftliche Newspaper reports, Logis Suisse has already acquired the land north of the station and is currently pushing ahead with planning.

Regional businesses and cultural institutions are to move into the office buildings along the tracks, Marianne Dutli Derron, project manager at Logis Suisse, tells the newspaper. Around 350 apartments are to be built on the northern part of the site. According to the newspaper report, these will be built by IG Cooperation, consisting of five Basel housing cooperatives. The investment volume is to amount to CHF 170 million.

Coop will move its distribution center to Salina Raurica this year, and the commercial users could move into the site as interim users as early as 2018. The protected corner building in the southwest of the site will remain, and the silo in the southeast could also be interesting for creative businesses. The current building zone allows 18-meter-high buildings with six floors. A neighborhood plan is mandatory for the entire site.
