Bellinzona: Start of construction for new SBB plant draws closer

The new SBB plant in Bellinzona is scheduled to open in 2026. The plans for what SBB describes as "Europe's most modern and efficient plant" were presented at the beginning of August. SBB, the canton of Ticino and the city of Bellinzona are investing CHF 360 million in the project.
