Bilfinger Hochbau is now part of Implenia
The closing has taken place: The activities of Bilfinger Hochbau became part of the Implenia Group with effect from March 3, 2017.
The Acquisition announced at the end of December 2016 of the German company Bilfinger Hochbau has now been approved by all relevant competition authorities, Implenia announces. The transaction has thus been closed and the German company will become part of the construction group. Bilfinger Hochbau achieved a production output of around 450 million euros in 2016 and employs around 1,000 people.
According to Implenia, a multidisciplinary team is now working in the ongoing integration process to quickly integrate the new units into existing processes and structures. With the acquisition, Implenia is taking a further step towards the Group's targeted internationalization and achieving "critical size" in Germany, Europe's largest construction market, the company adds.
