Martin Brühl becomes president of the RICS
Martin J. Brühl FRICS, Head of Investment Management International at Union Investment Real Estate, is the new President of RICS. As the 134th president of the professional organisation, Brühl is the first continental European to hold this position.

During his RICS presidency, Brühl will continue as Head of International Investment Management at Union Investment Real Estate. There, he is responsible for real estate acquisitions and sales outside the eurozone, including Asia, North and South America and the UK.
Brühl, a chartered surveyor since 1995, began his career in real estate valuation and capital markets consulting. Today he is focused on the transaction market. Previously, he worked for international consulting firms such as DTZ, Cushman and Wakefield and Arthur Andresen. Brühl speaks German, English and French. He is a qualified banker and holds a degree in real estate valuation and finance from City University Business School in London.
The 2015-2016 RICS Presidential Team includes Amanda Clack as President Elect, Senior Vice President John Hughes Vice President Chris Brooke, Bill Gater as Honorary Treasurer and Rob Mahoney as Honorary Secretary. (ah)
