Four-star hotel planned in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley
The Santegra Capital Group, owner of "Paul's" restaurant in Widnau in the Rhine Valley of St. Gallen, is planning a new hotel building on the site of the restaurant. A business hotel in the four-star segment with 64 rooms and two suites is to be built. The building permit has already been issued, and work on the project, which will cost around ten million CHF, is due to start in August or September.

The plans for "Parkhotel Paul's" were drawn up by the architectural firm Baumschlager Hutter Partner, which has offices in Dornbirn, Widnau, Vienna and Munich. Santegra will not lease the hotel, but operate it under its own management. If everything goes according to plan, it is scheduled to open in fall 2016. (ah)
