300-bed hotel planned on Stoos
The three-star superior hotel "Stoos Lodge" is to be built on Stoos, directly at the new mountain station, starting in 2017. The building application has now been submitted, SAE Immobilien AG reports.

The new building will be realized on the site of the existing Hotel Klingenstock. Planned are 100 rooms, including six spa suites, two gastronomy concepts and a bar with lounge. A conference and event section is planned in the northern extension. A wellness and fitness area will be built on the top floor. The concept also includes a large children's play area.
According to the online portal htr.ch, builder René Koch expects an investment of 18 million CHF and synergies with his existing businesses, the Seminar and Wellness Hotel Stoos and the summit restaurant Fronalpstock.
Stoos is currently investing heavily in sustainable tourism development. In the last 15 years, Sportbahnen AG has built new transport and snow-making facilities at a cost of over CHF 30 million, and a further CHF 52 million is being spent on a new funicular railroad. Last year the boutique hotel Caschu Alp was opened and in mid-December the new Stooshütte of the Oberallmeindkorporation Schwyz will open. (ah)
