Muttenz wants to give Mittenza away in building rights
The Muttenz municipal council wants to hand over the loss-making Mittenza congress center in building rights. On March 17, the municipal assembly will therefore vote on a corresponding change to the operating structure.

The congress center with hotel and restaurant is in need of renovation and must be adapted to the changed needs. The complex was built between 1965 and 1970 according to the plans of the architects Rolf Keller and Fritz Schwarz. It comprises 32 hotel rooms, two restaurants and banquet and congress facilities of more than 700 square meters.
As the municipal council plans, the basic concept should not be changed. However, the future operator could change the weighting between restaurant, hotel and congress center. According to media reports, the municipality does not yet have a potential building lease holder. For the time being, the vote is only a decision in principle. (ah)
