Pöyry Switzerland: Marcel Winter is new Managing Director
Roland Keller handed over the chairmanship of the management of Pöyry Switzerland to Marcel Winter at the end of March.
Marcel Winter was previously a member of the Management Board and entrusted with the management of the Civil Engineering business unit, which he will continue to lead ad interim until a successor is appointed.
Winter has been working for Pöyry for 13 years, initially as project manager in tunnel construction, later as division manager "Civil Engineering". After an apprenticeship as a draftsman, Winter studied civil engineering at ETH Zurich and recently completed an EMBA.
"It is a personal concern of mine to further develop Pöyry Switzerland as a successful company in the business areas of civil engineering, buildings, environment, transport including railroad technology, as well as hydropower and thermal energy throughout Switzerland in a targeted manner," says Winter.
During his tenure, his predecessor as Managing Director, Roland Keller, realized the merger of the three Swiss companies Pöyry Energy AG, Pöyry Infra AG and pkag Paul Keller Ingenieure AG and subsequently established Pöyry Schweiz AG on the market.
Pöyry is an internationally active consulting and engineering company. With 6,000 employees, the company generated net sales of 575 million euros in 2015. In Switzerland, Pöyry is represented by 700 employees at its locations in Zurich, Bellinzona, Bern, Chur, Rotkreuz and Vevey. (ah)
