SFPI buys again in Basel
On April 1, 2016, Swiss Finance & Property Investment AG (SFPI) acquired the property at Schwarzwaldallee 175-179/Rosentalstrasse 70 in Basel.
The property has a rental area of around 5,000 sqm, which is currently shared by the Hotel Ryago and the Casa Vita Foundation. The Casa Vita Foundation's lease for 2,600 sqm expires on May 31, 2016, but the space has already been leased to a public-law organization of the city of Basel, SFPI reports.
Following the purchase of the property at Riehenstrasse 157/Rosentalstrasse 50/52 in 2015, this transaction represents another important milestone in the consolidation strategy around the Badischer Bahnhof, according to SFPI. The excellent location, just a minute's walk from the station, offers great potential for possible future cross-property investments. (ah)
