According to Zug Estates, 13 general planning teams took part in the project competition. The evaluation was carried out at the end of February 2016 by a jury consisting of independent expert judges, one representative each from the municipality of Risch and the canton of Zug, two representatives from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and three representatives from Zug Estates.

The jury unanimously declared the project "Peripteros" by ARGE Büro Konstrukt & Manetsch Meier the winner and recommended the project for further development. "The project convinces with its self-evident and self-confident urban setting. The open spaces are generous and create a pleasantly relaxed neighborhood to the surrounding residential buildings," the jury wrote in its report.

The competition project is now to be fed into the ongoing procedure for the Suurstoffi West development plan amendment, which is to be submitted to the Risch electorate for assessment in November 2016. In parallel, the competition project will be further fleshed out over the next few months into a preliminary project and then into a building project. The building application is to be submitted immediately after the decision on the development plan. Occupation of the new building is planned for summer 2019. (ah)
