Hotels: Alpiq to set up charging stations for electric cars

The first charging station bearing the "Grand Tour of Switzerland" label went into operation in August at the "Suvretta House" hotel in St. Moritz. The company is looking for other companies to make their properties available in order to expand the charging station network.

By the summer season of 2017, the 1,600 km long vacation route that runs through the whole of Switzerland should be accessible to electrically powered vehicles throughout.

Launched in 2015 by Switzerland Tourism, the "Grand Tour of Switzerland" says it links "world-famous sights and insider tips in lesser-known settings along the country's most beautiful routes." (ah)
