JLL: Christian Ulbrich becomes new CEO

Change in leadership at JLL: Christian Ulbrich, President at the real estate services provider since June 2016, will also take over the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from October 1. Ulbrich succeeds Colin Dyer, who will retire at the end of 2016 and step down from his role as CEO of JLL on September 30.

As President and CEO, Ulbrich will have leadership responsibility over JLL's strategic direction and growth. He will report to the Board of Directors, of which he is a member. He will also chair the Global Executive Board, the top internal management committee of which he has been a member for eight years.

Ulbrich has worked at JLL since 2005, initially as Managing Director in Germany, and since 2009 as the person responsible for the EMEA region until his appointment as President. Before joining JLL, he was CEO of HIH Group, a real estate subsidiary of M.M. Warburg based in Hamburg. He is a member of the Supervisory Board of Vonovia SE, Germany's largest residential real estate company. Ulbrich holds a degree in business administration from the University of Hamburg.

To ensure a smooth transition, outgoing CEO Colin Dyer will continue to lead the company's data, information and analytics focus through the end of 2016, he said. In addition, he will remain a member of the JLL Board of Directors until the Annual General Meeting in spring 2017 and will serve as an advisor throughout 2017, JLL says.

Under Dyer's leadership, JLL has grown strongly, especially internationally. The company's revenue has more than quintupled since 2004 to six billion U.S. dollars. (ah)
