Goldbeck opens FM location in St. Gallen
The German construction company Goldbeck is opening a site in St. Gallen for its facility management division. This step is a response to growing customer demand in Switzerland, the company says.
Specifically, Goldbeck offers building services at the St. Gallen site as part of technical and infrastructural facility management. In addition, Goldbeck accompanies customers during the commissioning of building technology.
As Managing Director Christian Böhm says, Goldbeck has been looking after a large number of properties in Switzerland for some time, mainly logistics halls and office buildings. "Therefore, it was a logical consequence for us to open a local site here and thus get closer to our customers." In Switzerland, facility management is often still carried out in-house, and Goldbeck sees here "a young but steadily growing market with a lot of potential," Böhm continues.
Only recently, Goldbeck took over various mandates in Switzerland from logistics companies, such as commissioning service orders in Derendingen and Laufenburg as well as an office building in Möhlin. In addition, Goldbeck was commissioned with the technical and infrastructural building management for the Steinhoff service center in the Wissensteinfeld industrial area in Derendingen. The logistics complex, which comprises a total of around 56,000 sqm of hall and office space, had been built by Goldbeck Rhomberg in 2015 using element-based system construction. The construction company has been active in industrial and commercial construction in Switzerland and Austria since 2001. (ah)
