Biel: City wants to develop Heuer site
The city of Biel wants to build a mixed-use development on the Heuer site. The centrally located site, on the northern edge of which is the Dufour school building, is considered an important development area for the city.
Next year, an urban planning study will be carried out to plan a mixed-use development and an extension of the school complex on the site, according to the city of Biel.
The municipal council has now approved a commitment credit of CHF 50,000 to carry out a preliminary study. Preliminary studies are necessary in particular in the area of traffic, according to a statement by the city. The planning work now started is also a mandatory prerequisite for the renovation of the Dufour school building. (ah)
