Kriens: Laying of the foundation stone for "Zentrum Pilatus
On September 15, the municipality of Kriens and Alfred Müller AG, as the building owners, laid the foundation stone for the "Zentrum Pilatus".

The new six-story building in the center of Kriens includes space for administration, a community hall as well as stores and apartments and is scheduled to be ready for occupancy at the end of 2018.
Shell construction work is scheduled for completion around August 2017, and Alfred Müller AG will also start marketing the store and service areas at the beginning of 2017. Marketing of the rental apartments is scheduled to start in mid-2018.
At the laying of the foundation stone, Cyrill Wiget, president of the municipality of Kriens, emphasized the great importance of the project for the center of Kriens: "With its striking architecture and large square, the new building will significantly shape the face of the future Kriens. The diverse uses for culture, stores, offices and apartments, as well as a central contact point for the residents, are a valuable contribution to the revitalization and upgrading of the center.
Alfred Müller AG is not only the general contractor for the Pilatus Center, but also an investor. "As an investor, we were able to quickly say yes to this project," said David Hossli, Chairman of the Management Board of Alfred Müller AG. The good location of the site in the heart of Kriens and close to the city of Lucerne, the high quality of the project and the partnership with the municipality were reasons for the financial commitment.
Alfred Müller AG and the municipality of Kriens are each spending around CHF 25 million on the Pilatus Center. (ah)
