Helvetica Swiss Commercial raises 77.6 million
The Helvetica Swiss Commercial fund raised CHF 77.6 million in its first issue.
According to Helvetica Property Investors, all equity from this initial offering has already been invested in a diversified portfolio of properties in metropolitan areas in German and French-speaking Switzerland. The properties have a gross actual yield of about 5.8 percent and rental income of about CHF 4.8 million per year. The purchases have already been notarized and will be completed on December 15, 2016.
"We are proud that we have been able to invest the capital from the initial offering virtually simultaneously with the liberation and in excellent quality properties," says Frederic Königsegg, CIO and Head Investments at Helvetica Property Investors. "In addition, investing capital in a timely manner is more important than ever in times of negative investment interest rates."
The Helvetica Swiss Commercial Fund invests directly and exclusively in real estate assets in economically strong regions and their agglomerations in German and French-speaking Switzerland. The aim is to achieve a broadly diversified portfolio in terms of regions, types of use, property sizes and tenant mix.
Chairman of the Board Hans Ueli Keller said that the fund management would "soon consider a second capital increase". (ah)
