Läderach opens chocolaterie in Berlin

The family business Läderach from Ennenda (GL) celebrated the opening of its first chocolaterie in the German capital Berlin on March 31. The new store for lovers of handmade chocolates and over 20 varieties of Original FrischSchoggi was inaugurated at Friedrichstrasse 180-184.

"We are sure the Berliners will give us a warm welcome," said René Rechsteiner, Director Retail Switzerland & Germany. With the opening in Berlin, Läderach is further expanding its network of chocolateries in Germany. The company was already previously represented in the large neighboring state with eleven branches in Baden-Baden, Dillenburg, Düsseldorf, Freiburg im Breisgau, Hamburg, Karlsruhe, Constance, Munich (2 times), Nuremberg and Stuttgart.

"Our goal is for gourmets all over Germany to enjoy our chocolateries and leave a little piece of everyday life behind with us. With the first location in Berlin and a subsequent second chocolaterie, we have succeeded in taking an important step and we are delighted that we will soon be able to spoil many chocolate lovers there," Rechsteiner says. The second Berlin branch is planned in the building at Tauentzienstrasse 4, directly on Wittenberger Platz and close to Kurfürstendamm.

"Läderach - the chocolate family" has stood for the highest quality handmade Swiss chocolate and confectionery specialties since 1962. The family-owned company from Glarus with around 800 employees has been producing its own chocolate mass in a newly built production facility since September 2012 and today has production sites in Switzerland and Germany. Läderach products are sold through around 50 of its own chocolateries with sales locations in Switzerland and Germany, as well as through distribution partners in the Middle East and Asia.
