Adelboden: New building planned for Hotel Bernahof
The Hotel Bernahof in Adelboden is to be demolished and replaced by a larger new building. Planned are 47 rooms with over 100 guest beds.
Currently, the hotel building on Dorfstrasse in Adelboden offers 17 rooms. The conversion is planned by the Basel entrepreneur Werner Schmid, as the "Newsportal der htr hotel revue" writes. Since mid-July, the construction publication is available in the municipality; until August 10, 2017, the objection period is still running. The investment volume is stated at around CHF 12 million.
In the future, Schmid wants to offer a multifunctional event space in the basement of the new Hotel Bernahof and is planning a disco operation as well as concerts and events there. Current plans call for construction to begin in Easter 2018. The reopening could then take place for the 2019/2020 winter season, according to Schmid.
