Zurich: Immofonds plans replacement building in Höngg
Immofonds wants to replace its property at Regensdorferstrasse 63-69 in Zurich-Höngg with a new building.
According to the Immofonds, the property, which was built in the late 1950s, would soon require extensive renovation. However, the property has considerable reserves for exploitation and offers potential for densification. Therefore, the existing buildings with a total of 25 apartments are to be replaced by an apartment building with 32 apartments (1.5 to 5.5 rooms). The energy supply for the new building is to be ensured by means of geothermal probes, and the installation of photovoltaic modules for electricity production is also planned. The outdoor space is to be designed with local useful plants.
The project was developed by Demuth Hagenmüller & Lamprecht Architekten following a study procedure; the building permit was issued by the City of Zurich at the end of June. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2021; the apartments should be ready for occupancy in autumn 2022. (ah)
