Root: Shell of residential project by Halter and Abendrot Foundation completed
In Root (LU), Halter and the Abendrot Foundation are building 70 rental apartments and 59 owner-occupied apartments, for which a joint housing association has been established.
The shell of the "Wilmisberg" project in Root (LU) has been completed. This was announced by the Abendrot Foundation, which is developing the project together with Halter and will be renting out 70 apartments there from the fall. A total of twelve apartment buildings are being built - including 59 Halter AG condominiums, all of which have already been sold.
The Wilmisberg Housing Association was founded to manage the housing estate. Its concept was developed in collaboration with Barbara Emmenegger Soziologie & Raum from Zurich. The settlement association is intended to be a place of encounter and exchange, also between the residents of the condominiums and the rental apartments. The rental apartments are marketed by Arlewo AG, accompanied by the "socio-cultural animators" from Büro West in Lucerne. The architecture was designed by Dachtler Partner AG.
The plot measures 10,814 square meters. The construction costs were previously quoted by Halter AG at CHF 56 million. (aw)
