Lucerne: City puts plots in Littau West out to tender
Around 100 non-profit apartments are to be built under building rights on the two municipal building plots of the project. A further 270 apartments are planned on the remaining plots.
The city of Lucerne is putting its part of the Littau West development site out to tender for building rights to non-profit housing developers. Around 100 non-profit apartments, a kindergarten, a playground, a public square and commercial space are to be built on the plots in question. The plot is located on the western edge of the settlement of Littau in the Tschuepis area on Renggstrasse and is easily accessible from both the city center and the Lucerne hinterland. According to a feasibility study, around ten buildings with a total of 98 apartments are possible.
The municipal building areas B and C cover an area of 10,225 square meters and are being granted building rights for 80 years. The city estimates the building lease rent at around CHF 258,000 per year. Private individuals and the WGL housing cooperative own a further six building areas, on which around 270 apartments will be built at a later date.
The tender period runs from October 24 to December 31. (aw)
