Roche to build new IT centre in Kaiseraugst
The Roche pharmaceutical group is continuing to expand its Kaiseraugst site. An IT innovation center is to be built by 2017 at a cost of CHF 290 million, for which the foundation stone has now been laid. With 1,300 employees, the "Home for IT" is to become one of four global IT centers in the Group.

The center consists of four buildings, which will be realized in two stages. Each of the buildings offers five floors and a basement and has two cafeterias, video conferencing and various meeting rooms, as well as infrastructure for cyclists.
Roche plans to invest a total of more than half a billion CHF in buildings and infrastructure projects at Kaiseraugst. In addition to the IT center, two service buildings and expanded parking facilities are being built, and the site's infrastructure is also being expanded.
The service buildings will be built on an underground parking lot and surrounded by a landscaped park by the beginning of the third quarter of 2017. A first service building will become Roche's new reception building in Kaiseraugst. This is equipped with a spacious reception area, a café, a fitness center and a Roche Shop. The second service building will house a visitor center and three auditoriums. (ah)
