New workshop for IBAarau
On Monday (July 27, 2015), preparatory work will start for the planned new IBAarau depot building at Industriestrasse 31 in Buchs. In advance, the former Lonstroff buildings will be cleared out and the pollutant cleanup will be carried out. Demolition work on the Torfeld Süd site in Aarau will then begin in mid-August 2015, with new construction starting in 2016.
With the new plant yard, IBAarau will be able to consolidate the plant yards, which are currently set up individually, at one location from the autumn of 2017. While IBAarau Strom AG currently operates a large plant yard on the Aare Island near the power plant, IBAarau Wärme AG can be found at Erlinsbacherstrasse 34 with its yard for natural gas, drinking water and heating pipe systems.
The new Werkhof will provide an office building with space for 475 employees. In addition, there will be a reserve of 160 workplaces, which will initially be rented to third-party companies. In addition, an underground garage with 100 parking spaces for company vehicles and around 170 spaces for employees, pool vehicles and visitors will be built.
According to the "Aargauer Zeitung", HRS Real Estate AG is acting as the developer for the project. In addition, Mobimo AG has received approval for the partial demolition of the Aeschbachhalle in Torfeld Süd. This is to be preserved and will provide space for retail and gastronomy in the future. Mobimo is also planning to build residential buildings in the immediate vicinity of the hall. (mr)
