Bern: First store opens in PostParc

Café Eichenberger is the first business to open in Bern's PostParc at Schanzenstrasse 4. This marks the start of the gradual handover of the premises to the tenants. The leasable area of the overall project comprises 40,000 square meters. Post-Parc is 95 percent leased - except for three store spaces.

PostParc, a project of PostFinance AG, consists of three buildings (West, Mitte and Hochhaus). Migros Aare has leased the entire PostParc West and will set up stores and service businesses there as well as the Migros Aare club school. Coop will operate a 1,000 sqm store at the northeast end of Post-Parc Mitte.

In the center of the PostParc, the largest post office in Switzerland will move in with 18 counters. Above the post office, PostFinance will occupy consulting rooms. In addition, medical practices, law firms and other service providers will occupy the PostParc.

In addition to Eichenberger, McDonald's, Pangaea, the Japanese restaurant Namamen and a branch of the German chain Vapiano will be moving in. (ah)
