Deka Immobilien buys "The Bank" in Amsterdam
Deka Immobilien GmbH acquires "The Bank" in Amsterdam for 275 million euros. The property is intended for the portfolio of the open-ended mutual property fund Deka-ImmobilienEuropa. The seller was a Dutch family office.
The historic property in Amsterdam's city center underwent core refurbishment between 2006 and 2011 and now comprises 26,000 sqm of office space and 5,250 sqm of retail space, as well as 110 parking spaces in an underground garage. "The Bank" is fully leased, among others to BNP Paribas and Booking.com
"The quality and size of the space at this location ensure a unique selling proposition for the real estate icon," Deka Immobilien wrote in a media release. (ah)
