Zurich: Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland rents in the "Flurpark" of the SPS
Swiss Prime Site AG (SPS) has found a main tenant for 10,000 sqm of service space for its newly renovated "Flurpark" commercial building in Zurich-Altstetten in the form of Ringier Axel Springer Schweiz AG.
In the future, more than 600 employees of the media company will work in the building, which will be renamed the "Media Park".
The former bank data center at Flurstrasse 55 in Zurich-Altstetten has been owned by Swiss Prime Site since 2005. When the property became vacant in 2013, SPS undertook an extensive refurbishment of the commercial building from the 1970s. The property was stripped back to its shell, and at the same time new facade cuts were created. Inside, the building is characterized by high ceilings and large, contiguous spaces.
The tenant-specific interior work will be carried out in 2016, and Ringier Axel Springer will move into the premises in spring 2017. Until then, further extensions such as a staff restaurant, daycare center and fitness rooms will also be completed. (ah)
