AXA IM Real Assets completes refurbishment of Frankfurt "Welle
AXA Investment Managers - Real Assets (AXA IM - Real Assets) has completed the refurbishment of the "Die Welle" office complex in downtown Frankfurt.

The property comprises a total usable area of 75,400 sqm in three building sections. Offices account for 68,300 sqm of this, while 7,100 sqm is available for retail and services.
The refurbishment was based on plans by architects schneider+schumacher, while kiparlandschaftsarchitekten were responsible for the design of the landscaped outdoor areas. As part of the one-year construction work, the lobbies were enlarged and new services were introduced for the tenants. The outdoor area was extended to include additional service and retail areas as well as catering facilities and opened up towards the Alte Oper.
According to AXA IM Real Assets, the aim of the refurbishment is to retain tenants - including banks, law firms and consultancies - in the long term and attract new tenants from other sectors. At the same time, the capacities of the building should be better utilized. In the long term, AXA IM Real Assets wants to expand the service area and attract leisure and wellness providers as tenants. (ah)
