The 1,200-square-meter complex dates back to the early 20th century and initially housed the Ed. Laurens cigarette factory and later the watchmaker Baume & Mercier. In 2006, Banque Heritage took over the property, which it has now sold to Swiss Life. Under the terms of the transaction, the bank will be allowed to remain in the building for at least another 20 years. (ah)
