Uster: Laying of the foundation stone for center development
Axa Winterthur, Siska Heuberger Holding AG and Hotz Verwaltungs AG jointly laid the foundation stone for the "Kern Uster" development in Uster on September 20, 2016.
In the city center of Uster, five buildings with five to six floors are being built, as well as a high-rise building that will have twelve levels. On the first floors of the buildings, around 1,000 square meters will be available for retail and gastronomy, while a total of 60 apartments and 4,500 square meters of office space are planned for the upper floors. A two-story, partially public underground garage will provide 87 parking spaces. It will be connected to the garage of the north section and thus enable access via Zürichstrasse.
According to Axa Winterthur, some of the office and commercial space has already been leased, including the traditional Hotz butcher's store, which will move into a new building and thus return to its former location. Leasing of the apartments and other office and retail space will start at the end of 2016, with the six buildings scheduled to be ready for occupancy in two stages in August and November 2018. (ah)
