UBS buys in Barcelona and Madrid
UBS, through its Global Real Estate division, has acquired two office properties in Madrid and Barcelona for a total of 89 million euros (96.4 million CHF).
As first reported by the Spanish business newspaper Expansión reported, UBS has a fully leased property in Madrid for €36.5 million in the Las Rozas commercial zone and has a leasable area of around 14,000 sqm and 417 parking spaces. Among the five tenants is Altamira Asset Management, which manages the real estate of the major Spanish bank Santander.
The building in Barcelona is located on Calle Aribau near the famous avenue Diagonal and comprises an office area of around 11,200 sqm, plus around 1,000 sqm of storage space and 39 parking spaces. The tenant is the Spanish commercial law firm Roca Junyent. The price amounts to 52.5 million euros. The property will be contributed to the UBS Diamond Eurozone Offices fund. (ah)
