Allianz Suisse invests massively in western Switzerland
Allianz Suisse has acquired residential and office buildings in western Switzerland for a total of CHF 290 million. It is the company's largest real estate investment in western Switzerland to date.
In the regions of La Riviera (VD), La Broye (FR) and Lausanne (VD), Allianz Suisse has acquired more than 220 apartments with a total area of around 20,000 sqm as well as office buildings with a total area of around 16,000 sqm.
The properties are in attractive locations in dynamic economic regions where vacancy rates are low and demand for adequate residential and office space is high, Allianz Suisse says. In addition, the regions have excellent transport links and are close to the economic centers of Vevey, Lausanne and Fribourg.
"Most of the properties are already leased or are currently under construction. In view of the low interest rate environment, this ensures us an attractive and predictable return in the long term," says Martin Kaleja, CEO of Allianz Suisse Immobilien AG. The buildings are constructed to a high standard of fit-out and meet strict sustainability criteria.
With a real estate portfolio of more than CHF four billion, Allianz Suisse is one of the largest real estate investors in Switzerland. (ah)
