In its search for the future location of its new Swiss headquarters, technology group Philips has chosen the former commercial building on the Grob site in Horgen.

Philips is the Swiss subsidiary of the Dutch company Royal Philips with over 70,000 employees globally. Due to planned construction measures at the existing location in Zurich's Manegg, Philips was looking for alternative premises and commissioned JLL with the location search and subsequent lease negotiations.

A solution has now been found for Philips with the former commercial building on the Grob site in Horgen, which is currently being converted by the owner Mobimo Holding AG into a mixed-use commercial building called "Seehallen Horgen", JLL reports. The technology group will rent around 1,600 sqm of usable space on the top floor of the building. In addition to office space, a repair workshop, meeting rooms and a catering area for Philips employees will also be set up.

On the landlord side, the company Red Real Estate has been commissioned to market the "Seehallen Horgen", which will comprise around 15,000 sqm of usable space. The conversion of the existing building on Seestrasse in Horgen, which began at the end of 2016, is scheduled for completion by the beginning of 2018.
