Lucerne: The Gotthard House is auctioned off

A voluntary public auction is being held for the so-called Gotthardhaus, an office property on Bahnhofplatz in Lucerne.

The Gotthardhaus is located directly at Lucerne railway station and in the immediate vicinity of Lake Lucerne. The office property with the address Bahnhofplatz 3 is currently fully let, among others to the Lucerne Education Centre (BZLU) and UBS. The property area is 340 sqm, the lettable area is stated at 1,706 sqm.

The rental income amounts to CHF 703,710 per year, reports CBRE, the transaction advisor commissioned by the Gotthardhaus co-owners' association (MEG). The average remaining term of the rental contracts is 3.5 years.

CBRE also reports that the building, which was constructed in 1969, is in very good condition, with the most recent renovations taking place in 2009 and 2020.

The increase will take place on 27 September, with a minimum offer of CHF 26 million. (ah)
