Zurich: New Deputy Director at the Office for Urban Development

The new deputy director at Zurich's Office of Urban Development is Martin Schneider. He will take up the post on January 1, 2022.

The City of Zurich announces that Martin Schneider will become deputy director in the Office of Urban Planning as of January 1, 2022. Schneider has been working as head of local, settlement, and regional planning in the spatial development department of the Canton of Aargau since 2017. Previously, he worked at the architectural firm Gigon / Guyer, then as an area supervisor for townscape and urban development at the Office for Spatial Development of the Canton of Zurich, and later as a project manager for construction and architecture at SBB.

Schneider studied architecture at the Technical University of Darmstadt and in Paris and worked for the architectural firms Herzog & de Meuron and Albert Speer & Partner during his studies. (a.o.)
