Orascom Development Holding AG (ODH) is reducing the size of its Board of Directors from nine to six members. In addition to Chairman Samih Sawiris, Board members Barbara Heller, Carolina Müller-Möhl and Jürg Weber will not stand for re-election at the next Annual General Meeting.

Naguib S. Sawiris, Franz Egle, Jürgen Fischer, Amine Omar Tazi-Riffi and Eskandar Tooma are standing for re-election. Naguib S. Sawiris is to be elected as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. It is also proposed to appoint Maria Rioumine as a new member to the board. Rioumine is a British citizen and lives in the USA. She brings extensive experience as a CEO and investor in the technology sector, ODH writes in a statement. She is expected to support the company in particular with digitalization.

Outgoing ODH Board member Barbara Heller moves to the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of Andermatt Swiss Alps AG (ASA), a 49% financial investment of ODH. Samih Sawiris remains Chairman of the Board of Directors of ASA. A few days ago, the entrepreneur presented a new tourism project in Seedorf (UR). He wants to develop the Isleten peninsula on the Lake of Uri and build a marina there with a hotel, vacation apartments and leisure facilities. (ah)
