Stoneweg expands board of directors and management
Geneva-based real estate investment group Stoneweg has appointed three new members to its Board of Directors. In addition, Yvan Mermod has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and Rafael Cerezo Chief Investment Officer.
Yvan Mermod has taken over the newly created position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Stoneweg. Based in Geneva, he will be responsible for accounting, finance and compliance issues, the company says. Mermod was most recently a partner at KPMG Switzerland, where he was responsible for investment management in the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
Rafael Cerezo will join Stoneweg as its new chief investment officer (CIO), based in Madrid. He will be responsible for the group's investment strategies as well as new mandates, according to the company- Earlier in his career, he worked for Barclays and M&G Investments.
At the same time as appointing the new executives, Stoneweg has also expanded its board of directors. The reason for the new appointments is the strong growth of the real estate investment company since its founding in 2015, Stoneweg writes in a statement. The three new board members are Simona Terranova, Clarence Peter and Yvar Mentha.
Simona Terranova is the founder of MT Finance; the Geneva-based company specializes in regulatory and risk-related management consulting. Previously, Terranova worked at PWC and Deloitte; in total, she has a good 20 years of professional experience in audit.
Clarence Peter is a senior partner at the law firm Kellerhals Carrard, where he advises on commercial and corporate law.
Yvar Mentha is a partner at BRP Bizzozero & Partners, a consulting firm active in Swiss and cross-border regulatory matters. (ah)
