HSLU: Johan Verbiest becomes new head of laboratory and test center building services engineering

Johan Verbiest, who has a degree in electrical engineering, takes over from Prof. Heinrich Huber as head of the building services testing department at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

The Building Technology Laboratory and the Building Technology Testing Laboratory at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts is getting a new head. Johan Verbiest will take over from Prof. Heinrich Huber, who has headed the test center since 2015 and will retire at the end of August 2022. Verbiest has a degree in electrical engineering and brings work experience from his time at Siemens and Renggli AG, among others. Since 2019, he has been the owner and managing director of Fluxiun GmbH in Buttisholz.

The Building Technology Laboratory supports companies in thermal, fluidic and acoustic testing and in the development of components, apparatus and systems. It performs measurements and tests in the areas of air-to-air heat exchangers, residential ventilation equipment, room comfort and acoustics or trace gas, among others. (aw)
