Stephan Widrig will take up his new position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Allreal on May 1, 2023. He succeeds Roger Herzog, who had already announced his exit in the summer and will retire from the Group Management of the real estate company at the end of March 2023.

Stephan Widrig has worked for the listed company Flughafen Zürich AG in various management functions since 1999. Among other things, he headed real estate management and, as a member of the Executive Board, was responsible for all non-aviation business areas, including real estate. In 2015, he assumed overall responsibility for the airport operator as CEO.

Widrig is "a proven real estate expert with many years of experience in the development, construction and management of real estate," Allreal said in a statement. In addition, he brings with him an "impressive track record and many years of management experience in running a listed company".

Zurich Airport has announced that Widrig will leave the company at the end of April. The process to identify a successor is now underway. "After almost 15 years on the Executive Board of Flughafen Zürich AG and in my ninth year as CEO, it seems sensible to me to pass on the management baton. The timing is favorable, as all business units are in stable and competent hands, the pandemic is well overcome and the strategic focus for the next few years is clear," Widrig commented on his departure.
